A Mother's Resolve..

Written for Rebecca's

Haiku My Heart : Friday

And for Leo's
Haiku Heights : Saturday

 Fortitude

and for
Sandy and Andree's
One Single Impression -Sunday

Moment

A Mother's Resolve..

Ah, fortitude;
she goes through all the troubles
unscathed, strong

Unscathed, strong;
testing moments deter not
a mother's resolve

A mother's resolve
to give her best to children;
ah, fortitude

***

Unprompted..spontaneous..

Sun shines bright
on top of my head;
shadow shrinks

Shadow shrinks
just under my feet;
I look down

I look down
and lo, my shadow
too looks back

  4. I simply run out of adjectives when I talk about a mother's love. You portrayed the thought very well, Sir! :)

    And, in the second haiku-set...
    "I look down
    and lo, my shadow
    too looks back" was brilliant. It made me chuckle. :D

  10. Two lovely haiku chains. Yes, we must be strong to be parents. And I love the idea of my shadow looking back up at me!
