One Single Expression...

Prompt: Change

One Single Expression...

It's now here
and then, won't be there;
now and then,
we'll talk about it
that's what we always do
don't we..

He Wove His Stories Well....

He Wove His Stories Well....

Hey, do you really think
that he revisited his past
yes, he did ..not once
but many a time...
Because, wasn’t that the place
Where she met him last
under that rain
amidst the vegetation
where crows would gather
and their constant caw, caw
would make cells
of his body too
join the chorus
while he would quietly
witness his inner strength
getting eroded
with every passing moment
she would wonder
because he would not say
what she wanted to hear..
He wove his stories well
deeply rooted in his
self-created darkened
depths of fear and doubt
Yes, she always knew
that courage was a
scarce trait and
he was not bestowed with it
and then she did what she needed to
she moved ahead
staying rooted in some
vacant moments
wasn’t an option
when a beautiful life
beckoned her to meet
at least one courageous heart
on the way which appeared
littered with golden dreams
and she knew she will be
able to pick up one...

Before I Pass a Judgment...

Apologize, Derelict, Medicate

Before I Pass a Judgment.

Eroded sensibilities, is it?
In spite of dereliction of duty
He refuses to apologise
And that makes me wonder
Has he been medicated
With some drug that would make
Any human shameless
A drug named “arrogance”
Or is it false pride
born out of ignorance
and I wonder
Won't I need to be empathetic
Before passing a judgment..

I Started Looking At Her Through My Poems....

Written for

I Started Looking At Her Through My Poems...

Where was the time to think
Tears were slated to flow for the night
I thought I won't be able to
repair the 'longing'
No key could open the door to
the darkened  rooms of my inner space
Ah, you think one could enter
through the windows
No, a strong mesh of illusions
never let anyone even consider the option
Driven to embrace
a less than intersting life
I suddenly found a ray of hope
and I became a poet
that's when I started looking at her
through my poems
and lo! Life suddently found meaning
and became exceedingly lively
Darkened rooms too slowly started
getting illuminated one by one...
and I see the light all around me
Yes, today is beautiful
And tomorrow will be a lot better...

LET ME ASSIGN MYSELF JUST THIS ONE GOAL

WRITTEN FOR

Assign; Pretense; Traverse;

LET ME ASSIGN MYSELF
JUST THIS ONE GOAL

Having traversed
the peaks and valleys
on the path of life
can I live with
any pretense or
put a mask on my face
No, I don't thinks so,
for the hard journey
taught me to be real
as I could just not
ignore any realities which
almost swallowed me;
then let me assign
myself just this one goal
- to continue to be real
without any pretense
even in my smile, ever...

Prompt: Squeeze

She squeezes orange
in her hand with full force;
Juicy fingers shine..

In my heart to make them one;

Cracks Appear In Togetherness....

WORDLE

Lab, Leave, Friends, Together, Mistake , Rest,
Risk, Conscience, Translate, Second, Detect, Note

Cracks Appear In Togetherness..

Cracks appear in togeherness
and friends leave
Mistakes happen
Yet the mind translates
conversations and events
As per its own comfort
Taking the risk
Of getting detected by
The conscience who
makes its own quiet notes
No second thoughts
Let there be no rest
Responsibility of relationship
Will have to be accepted
Where is the alternative
Other than listening
To the conscience, to heart and soul..
a human lab can help..

Body Doesn't Always Obey Us... OSI

Written for

One single Impression

Prompt: Wrinkle

Body Doesn't Always Obey Us...

No, I am not bothered
about the wrinkles becoming
visible on my neck
It's alright
Body dosen't always obey us
Yet, I am careful
that my thoughts remain
wrinkle-free
And it's an internal process
that would need constant effort
because in the realm
of thoughts
anti-aging creams don't help...

I CALL THEM ANGELS...

I CALL THEM ANGELS...

I entered that room with
many a demon in my mind
and as the time went by
they slowly started getting diluted...
as some wonderful fairies
would come singing
wellness in my ears
leave behind fragrance of
their healing touch to
smoothen my frayed nerves
I would find their pure pious glowing
smiles stuck all around me
you may call them Nurses
I call then Angels...

Here's my entry for my own prompt Fragile..which I missed as had to be hospitalised for minor ailment..my above poem is my dedication to some dedicated souls...

Promt: Fragile

Life's Fragility

One day it was laughter,
fun and accolades
life was on a roll

and the next, a dim-lit room
wait  for doctors
life appeared so fragile....
