My Childhood Home: Cascade of Haiku..

Post # 898

Haiku for haiku Horizon
Prompt HOME..

I visited my hometown and went to have a look at my Childhood Home..

Here's an attempt to share what I heard, saw and felt in this cascading haiku...

Some tiny footprints
run behind each other;
my childhood home..

My childhood home;
I hear my mother calling me
out of thick darkness

Out of thick darkness
emerge glowing memories;
a car screams to halt

A car screams to halt;
no, none from childhood alights,
all unknown faces;

All unknown faces
yet appear familiar;
my childhood home

  4. Emotive cascade. I have done this too - returning to your childhood home stirs so many hidden emotions. Marie

  6. Ramesh, I was drawn to re-read your haiku cascade and leave the first line out of each. When I read it as one poem without the repetition I was blown away. WOW!
