He Creates A Hole In the Sky....

Written for Haiku Horizons Prompt: Ground
Shared with Rebecca's Haiku My Heart...

He Creates A Hole In the Sky....

firm feet on the ground

he creates a hole in the sky
with a sharp resolve

With a sharp resolve
he lands in a starry maze;
a slippery ground

A slippery ground
up there confounds him;
he flutters his wings

He flutters his wings

Dear Blogger friend, You will honour me by reading the below mentioned  too,,,,

In celebration of Deewali, the festival of lights, Here's a Hindi Poem, first time  on this Blog.. dedicated to my wife.. who has supported me through thick and thin..

For my non-Hindi Speaking friends let me share the essence..

In the poem here, I talk about the need for a husband and wife to walk together hand in hand in the evening of life. confidently without fear having full trust in God.. I pray to them to spend time enjoying the gifts of nature, resting under the trees, listening to songs of birds, talking to stars.. living a full life..    The poem is my way of saying thanks to my dear wife.. We have had a lovely time together. She has supported me all the way through thick 'n' thin for all the 33 years.. This is my way to say thanks to her.. READ ON but before that...

A VERY HAPPY DEEWALI , THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS, TO YOU ALL... STAY BLESSED...

Morning Quietly Creates Its Own Pictures.. Haiku

Glorious sunrise;
trees silently wait for winds
to hear naughty songs

Silent sunbeams those;

well weaved strong nests

Ah, evening descends;
silent stars write script of joy,
earth happily reads

Martyr.. A Must Read...

STCSAPED9

Martyr

Elder one willingly
left his share of sweet
for the younger one
who happily let the elder one
choose to be the 'martyr'
and cherished the delicacy..
Elder one smiled
without realising
that his choice had
given a pattern of life
to the younger one ...
Well, I don't think if
I have to narrate
the whole story
You already know
that the elder one
must have died
a death of a 'martyr'..
No, none remembers him
either for what he gave
or for what they took
There's one who visits a temple
every year on his death anniversary
and takes pride in being
a son of a "Martyr"..

Ah, His Broken Flute....  a poem..

Winds no more carry
those love notes to her ears;
ah, his broken flute
she picks them
from the deepest corners
of her heart
where they have stayed
whenever she sits
silently in her balcony
listening to the winds..
the lost notes become alive
and take her to a
magical world
where her dreams dance to
the melody of his flute
Yes, those love notes have
stayed in the deepest
corners of her heart
or so he thinks..

A curved line like a broken bangle - APED Quoted Prompt 2..

quoted_2

Leo's APED  Quoted Prompt # 2

Or A Curved Line Like A Broken Bangle

Let my face reflect
pain or joy or wonderment
my friend takes it all
without changing expression;
Yes, Moon  shines & smiles
all the time..
I hold a star studded night sky
in my gleaming eyes
where else could I keep safe
the friendship gift of the Moon
Just one friend enough for me
for I can share sitting
in solitude, looking up
without any fear of
getting judged..
Our friendship is beyond
questions and answers
I too never judge
on the declining face of
Moon day after day
Be it a full Moon
or a curved line like a broken bangle
I accept every face of Moon
including its absence occasionally
Yes, I learnt all this by copying
my friend's behaviour..

Leo's  Prompt 10 - Wordle..

She Refuses to Share Her Tears..

She ferries
wicked thoughts
from the entrance
of her mind
that is painted in green
directly to the exit;

She has been searching

like rhymes in those days of
gay abundance

Tight-lipped
she refuses to share
her tears  which for her
are the blessings flowing
from the highest points
of her inner-space..

With Rainbow In Her Eyes...

WeekendWordle1

Leo's APED Prompt 6 Week-end Wordle  ...

With Rainbow In Her Eyes...

Breeze carries with it
the music of the rain as the raindrops
softly hit her face
Immersed in the magic
she didn't even notice
jumping  over a
small waist-high bush
She had forgotten to
unfold and put-on her raincoat
Her adolescent mind thought:
"Will I have the same freedom
after I become someone's bride"..
She smiled and let it go
Why think of  something
so far ahead in time...
Still in school
her  life had just begun..
She looks up in the skies
with rainbow in her  eyes....

APED Prompt 5 - Moon Lit Water Shines..a Poem..

van_der_neer_landscape_fridayfotowrite1

Image Source: Moonlit Landscape with Bridge by Aert van der Neer (via Wikimedia Commons)

Leo's APED Prompt 5

MOON-LIT WATER SHINES....

Moon-lit water shines;
she sees herself on the bridge
having pushed a paper-boat
loaded with her dreams
slowly sailing
towards a brighter morning
when she would see the
reflection of a rising Sun...

She wonders
if  her happy thoughts
would  create some ripples
in the still morning waters..
No, she wouldn't be able
to witness the spectacle
'cos she hopes to have crossed
the bridge by then..

For now the moon shines
in all its glory and the
paper-boat sails ahead as
the sound of wind-chime
brings her out of reverie
she looks around
the darkness
Mind can't differentiate.

She did stand on that bridge.
The paper-boat she had created
and left on her side
had disappeared..
Ah, that's when the moon
knocked on her window glass
and she let the moon-beam
offer gleam to her dreams...

Moon Kept Glowing...

A.P.E.D – PROMPT 1 – SIMPLE

Well my inspiration Vinay (Leo) is back..and I will have my chance to write haiku or poems.. everyday.. Wow!!!

Moon Kept Glowing

It was getting
a little darker as I
no more could hear
the sound of my footsteps
I walked on
looking down,
on the ground
and in between I would
glance at the little angels
running and
jumping around
as, full of jest, their moms
followed them..
And then I looked up
the Moon smiled
I smiled too
we both knew the truth
so it felt better
Moon kept glowing
I kept walking.
Till I got tired
when I returned home.
Simple.

A Haiku

Monstrous hot winds
hit me direct on the face;
I fall sick, simple
