Written for 3WW.... Brandish, Manage, Forbid
Moon Brandishes Smiles
Moon brandishes smiles
Sun forbids Earth and commands,
“Manage your feelings”.
Mesmerized Earth
Obeys and maintains distance
Holds temptations well…
A happy Sun gives
All the energy and light
Yet Moon keeps trying..
And the world goes on
Oblivious to the game
Between all the three …

This poem is a eight and true metaphor for the way society functions in general. Nice job.

Kim beat me to it - just fantastic metaphors..I would like to be the moon but guess I'm mostly earth..maybe the trick is balancing a little of each inside..beautiful, worldly piece Ramesh..Jae
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Lovely writing.
ReplyDeleteYes, great metaphors in this.
ReplyDeleteBut the earth does drape half of herself in grey with sparkling, gems of the ice caps, and silver ribbon laces of rivers that reflect the moon's glowing, serene emotions. While she shows the other smiling half of her face to the sun so that she can steal those few moments of romance with the moon, while the sun remains oblivious
ReplyDeleteWhat you have written is a beautiful metaphor sir. Most romantic relations are the ones the world remains oblivious to.
Thanks for the beautiful words...
Regards
P.S. Something positive again sir

Yes, this is lovely, as if all three orbs were quarrelsome siblings. Or perhaps it's mother sun and her two rambunctious offspring. Really lovely piece.

ReplyDeleteI love the bit about the happy sun!!
ReplyDeleteYour imagination is wonderful, the Sun commanding, the Earth obeying and he Moon trying :)
