Written for Haiku Heights
Prompt: Ghosts
Faking Fearless Sleep..
In childhood's dark nights
With wide open eyes, I would
Draw ghosts out of trees..
Seeing one dance near
I would shut the eyes tight, yeh,
Faking fearless sleep..
Faking fearless sleep..
RS :)
nice poem...

Faking Fearless Sleep"
ReplyDeleteThat is the all time best line ever
only a child can believe that he actually is pulling the ghost out of the trees, and they are not doing it of their own volition.
ReplyDeletethis is too cool Haikus.
ReplyDeletekeep it up.
I wonder if ghosts really go away if we close our eyes?
ReplyDeleteNicely told!
love the last line, well done.
ReplyDeleteAs a child, Ramesh was fearful of ghosts. How about now? :)
