Written for Haiku Heights
Prompt: Endurance
When I thought of writing haiku for this
prompt, only two pictures came to mind..
Earth rotating around the Sun and
a mother breaking stones
on the side of a road with her little children playing...
I don't know whether their
father was around or not...that's one
assumption I made...that he wasn't there...picture
has stayed with me for many years..and here
I draw it in words..
has stayed with me for many years..and here
I draw it in words..
Gifts of Poverty..
Ah, she breaks stones
under the scorching Sun;
naughty children
Naughty children
gift her happy smiles each night;
Gifts of poverty
Gifts of poverty
held with a stealy resolve;Gifts of poverty
a mother endures
A mother endures
life each day just for a day;
Ah, she breaks stones..
RS :)
Well, I don't know how but I did bring smiles in this sad haiku too.. God bless!!

I enjoyed this Haiku very much. I, myself, relate to "held with a stealy resolve; a mother endures" I have been there years ago. Thank you for your words.
