I Blow Bubbles..

The Height of Haiku Challenge.. Day 21
Prompt: Bubble

I blow bubbles, and
Try to see the world through them
Ah, they burst like dreams..

*****

Travels up and down
To talk to Eleph, tired Ant
Takes a bubble bath..

 Eleph comes home  late
Ant complains of pain in jaw
  Bubble gum troubles..

( I have used Elephant's short name here....)

  1. I love the first one!! How wonderful to view the bubbles as bursting into dreams. As always your ant and elephant are so entertaining..ant enjoys her bubbles...elephant pays the consequences for enjoying his. :)

  2. I also think the first one is a first-class haiku - master of the form.

  4. I also love the illusory image through bubble which is beautiful, albeit for nano seconds! The Ant is getting naughtier day by day exploiting Elephant's chivalry. lol

    First day on job two
    Jumbie now a laundryman
    Lots of bubbles here

    How was your first day?
    Ant asked; Jumbie replies with
    Trunk full of soapsuds

    Eleph Jumbie works
    Keeping deadlines becomes hard
    Ant in agony

  10. ah.. I see a nice series developing :D Lemme try my hand!

    Jumbo paid peanuts
    Not enough for ant; prolonged
    Becomes condition

    Ant rests on feather
    Bubbles in elephant's nose
    Sneezes in gusto

    Feather drifts to sea
Ant lost to high winds; jumbo
    Waits on beach, alone

    :)

  12. Great set of haikus, Ramesh. :)

I'm enjoying the continuation too, so must add my own verse:

    Eleph inhales a sob,
    Ant's feather drifts back to shore;
    Eleph smiles again.

  13. Ramesh!
YOU MUST BAN LEO from accessing your blog and anyone else who has evil intent of doing in Ant!

She or Elph are not to be trifled with. This is a serious matter.

Nanka has redeemed herself so she can come back.

Please put this warning on you page.

"If YOU dare to disturb or do-in either Elph or ANT you will permanently be barred from accessing this blog, not to mention having the ire and disdain of the entire world (see the countries on the side bar who have accessed this blog).
Furthermore, you will have raised the ire of Ants worldwide and that could hurt in more ways than one. So be forewarned that this is a serious matter and Anticide or Elecide are not to be permitted. As of now the United Nations is considering a resolution to oust anyone from the BIG HAIKU should they even contemplate an assault on Ant or Elephant.
    WIth love,
    Ramesh"

  14. To RS,

It is not possible for me to bring back an ant who has already returned, courtesy Traci's breeze B-) I was of course gonna bring her back later, but a two-ant story seems not right to me :P Elephant might not like a second girl in his life. :D
