The Height of Haiku Challenge Day 16
Prompt: Chime
(My first attempt on 3-5-3…)
Wind-chime Sings
Wind-chime sings
Songs of the morning
I sit quiet…
I sit quiet
Soft tinkle fills my heart
Wind-chime sings
Wind-chime sings
Lost songs of angels
Wings I get
Wings I get
To the beat of flaps
To the beat of flaps
Wind-chime sings..
Wind-chime sings
Dancing with the breeze
My feet tap
My feet tap
Happy flowers sway
Wind-chime sings..
****
A bunch of wind-chimes
Tied to Elephant’s tail
Tinkles with ant’s sleep
RS : )
Note: Edited 3rd and 4th para based on some constructive feedback by Nanka : )
nice take on the 3-5-3 form Rameshji.. somehow, I felt that just the first one alone is most beautiful than the whole series together! :)
ReplyDeleteThe loops of 3-5-3 haiku was penned down nice.. Isn't it beautiful with what we write with restricted words ?Few words are better than long describing sentences :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful musical cycle weaves the haikus together! Enchanting!
ReplyDeletePerfectly wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLet my claps go with the wind chimes' song...:)
Very nice, indeed...haven't tried this one, but might do soon!
And of course...believe me or not, I first looked for the ant and elephant take, ha ha ha..obviously it has become my favorite..:P
Looking forward to more ant and elephant stories!
By the way I am back to my old-first-love-blog. Hope you still have my link in your list or rather you will be directed there in my haiku offering today!
Like the connecting phrases from one haiku to another... wind chime singing sounds wonderful ~
ReplyDeleteI enjoy tinkling with the ant's sleep~
