I Keep Looking Back..

Thanks Leo, it had been a wonderul experience ..sitting everyday at 0000 hrs IST, waiting for the link and posting it and then watching the relationship between Ant and Elephant grow with Judy and Nanka adding to the charm with their tales in comments...
It was an experience I would cherish forever...for it gave some new wonderful friends who are always ready to encourage...
But hats-off to you, Leo, for being such a committed and gracious host.
Here's on the last day of challenge..

Height of Haiku Challenge Day 30
Prompt : Any Topic

Hey, walking ahead,
I keep looking back; alas,
Gesture makes me slow…

Earth tells me often,
“Do I look back? No, I just
Keep whirling forward.”

Nature’s lesson, that !
I fight with my own nature
So difficult to learn

****

You say write haiku
On nature; well, then mine makes
Man’s nature visible…

****
Elephant and Ant
Are happy; my eyes won’t peer
At them every day

And I am happy
Because both have agreed to
Let me once a week

****

Judy and Nanka,
What do you say? Leo would prompt
Each week. Continue?

RS : )

I must thank Leo and Teri C.. Thanks, for intersting twists in the tale and my gratitude to all other friends who visited to bless the couple and get charmed by them... Keep visiting we will keep the tale going..week after week.. Love..

  1. Well, I'm a li'l offended :P You ask only Judy and Nanka.. guess you still have kept my seafaring of the ant in mind :P I'll restrict myself on that front now on, but do continue each week with their chronicles if you can! It was a fun experience for sure.

Haven't been able to visit all haiku like I'd thought I would. But yes, a memorable month overall. Thanks for gracing it and entertaining us along with your darling duo :)

  6. Elephant and Ant
Are happy; my eyes won’t peer
    At them every day

    Elephant and Ant
    think it over carefully
    "Include Leo too.

    As long as we live
and are kept out of harms way"
    otherwise NO say!"

  7. Leo please don't pout
You "off'ed" Ant, that wasn't nice
    From now on, think thrice

    Ramesh gave them birth
Only he can do them in
    For others it's sin

    So join in the fun
    It has barely just begun
    for Ounces and Ton

    Happy forest land
    Of Lion, Ant and Eleph
    Rejoice Jungle folks

    Eleph is so kind
The wise one he seems to be
    Pats them all on back

And the turmoil continues as usual in the Jungle :) with the Lion cub now crowned the King and graciously hosting the Eleph and Ant :)

  17. All wonderful haiku, but your praise of Leo, Nanka and Judy in the first paragraph say more about you than the poetry. You are kind, generous and humble.
    Keep writing!

    Peace

  20. Beautiful Haiku! Very thought-provoking. Looking back slows you down...what a wonderful concept to show in your poem.

  21. Love the Elephant and ant chronicles, Ramesh. You are the only one I know who can create tales from haiku and have people follow week after week. Kudos to you. But I especially like your looking forward and backward haiku about the earth. Very nice!
    Peace,
    Noelle
