He Sings in Her Dreams

September 09, 2012 Prompt: Gloss

He Sings in Her Dreams

A glossy layer
covers his faded soul well;
ah, she fails to catch…

Ah, she fails to catch;
 he just keeps glossing over
life’s golden moments

life’s golden moments;
she picks them all to hide in
a glossy wrapping

A glossy wrapping
keeps her gleaming hopes alive;
he sings in her dreams

RS:)

  7. Very very nice. The only thing I would change is

    A faded layer
    Covers his glossy soul well

    I don't think that SOULS are ever faded!

    1. Thanks Judy, that's a good observation.. but I have always felt that any act of deceit or a lie...takes some colour of soul away...it is in that context...To give wings to the thoughts which came out of my belief I wrote an article Souls Journey Back Home.. second post from when I started the Blog..in November 2009...I invite yout to read..if you haven't already...you can reach there from the index..

      What you say is also right...but in India it is often said that we should not let our souls get soiled..

      RS:)

  9. You have created a beautiful glossy lace made of soft touches.
    If you take one out, the magic fades.

  10. Lovely. It sounds to me like your heroine is pretty much lost in self-delusion, though. Women are good at that when in love. :-)
