She Can’t Be An Island

September 19, 2012 Prompt: Island

She Can’t Be An Island

A mother, a wife,
she can’t be an island;
He roars like a sea

He roars like a sea,
she turns into an island;
so vulnerable

So vulnerable ,
waves of pride die down soon;
island vanishes…

Island vanishes,
she emerges much stronger;
a mother, a wife

  4. Intense haiku cascade Ramesh. Strong words and images ... well done ... and so different as what I have read 'till now for this prompt island.

  5. OK, I'm betting she was a lot stronger all along than he thought. Marriage and motherhood are not for the weak at heart. :-)
