September 18, 2012 Prompt :Starve
Ignorant Knows Not..
Famished she
starved of attention;
He is busy
He is busy
in an illusive world;
starved of fame
Starved of fame he,
and she for some attention;
empty life goes on..
Empty life goes on
starved for its own essence;
ignorant knows not
RS:)
Oh what a life-cycle...
ReplyDeleteLoved and learned so much, beautiful haiku :))
Wow ... this one is too good !!!
ReplyDeleteSo sad!
ReplyDeleteOh, so sad to have an empty life even when there is someone to share with.
ReplyDeleteYep,superficial life.
ReplyDeleteRamesh, your precious haiku reminded me of Odysseus and Penelope: she always waiting for him while he was travelling. He was so ignorant! At the end, when he returns home, he says to her, "You are my world". He was wise!
ReplyDelete:)
4 excellent views on relationships.
ReplyDeleteVery moving set. I especially like the first one!
ReplyDeleteRamesh, I've read many of your haiku through Haiku Heights challenges. The one is my absolute favorite. So well done!
ReplyDeleteThere is something very cyclical about this poem. Nicely written Ramesh.
ReplyDeleteOh! what an ignorant. Must be feeling lonely and strange in the world.
ReplyDeleteThis happens with all of us.....I guess.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, nice to see pain wrapped in beautiful words. :-)
You've describe all too well too many couples in this world...
ReplyDeleteStarve
Awesome cascade Ramesh. Well done on starve. Loved reading it more than once.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!! Starving and emptyness of life by ignorance!!! and is through self committed mistakes of diverted minds!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a different take on starvation, but just as valid.
ReplyDeleteVery wise words
ReplyDeletehard hitting reality !
ReplyDeletestunning one !
I like it, RSji. When both are wanting different things, the life seems empty.
ReplyDeleteI do wonder if the repetition in the third one has a less effective outcome on the entire cascade.
Sometimes we seek outside because we are unaware that we have everything we desire within. This is the essense and beauty of your haiku message. Enjoyed it as always. Best regards, Nimu :-)
