Here is my first participation KP..
Looking up, she takes
first raindrops straight on her face;
splash of joyous smile

splash of joyous smile;
a butterfly quietly sits
on my left shoulder

on my left shoulder
shines an imprint of her hand;
my mom's pats of love

ahh! that "part" is just lovely :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the honor of your visits. Just so you know I tend to take 'liberties' with haibun, haiku and well most poetic forms. I am having some issues with a relative... other than that I am quite content. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is true though that horoscopes can be 'mystifying'.
I also like to play with words - puns. While perhaps not the Tree of Life - I really like my Willow tree. Often people say the shape of the willow tree's leaf is like an eye. This last winter was very hard on my willow, but she is still alive and blooming and reaching for the sky.
I am honored that you drew so much emotion and connection to the 'simple' haiku.
Being a mother and now a grandmother I really 'connect' with your last haiku. The whole series has a gentle flow. Be well and again, Thank you ~Jules
First one is my very favorite!
